CIVIC Protection of civilians through humanitarian dialogue "CIVIC will implement activities in Sudan, Yemen, and the DRC ith the following objectives: • Support civilians affected by conflict in establishing dialogue and initiatives that strengthen their protection • Strengthen armed actors’ promotion of the protection of civilians • Influence regional and international actors to prioritize the protection of civilians in the crises in question Strategic dialogue and diplomacy to: - raise awareness among authorities and affiliated armed actors about the protection of civilians as a strategic imperative, - enable local organizations and leaders to negotiate with conflict parties on their humanitarian and protection needs. - work with regional and international actors to encourage them to use their influence to reduce human suffering. - identify common interests and capacities among different actors related to the protection of civilians in specific contexts, it becomes possible to reduce the suffering civilians are exposed to. "
