NPA Lebanon works with local partners to support women and girls survivors and at risk of SGBV, by ensuring access to life-saving services and as well as addressing the causes of SGBV. Women and girls receive safe referrals and/or direct access to individual case management and multi-sectorial and comprehensive services, both individually and in groups. Women, girls and relevant stakeholders in the communities we serve are consulted to determine safe and culturally appropriate approaches for the activities, aiming at offering transformative interventions that will offer real protection to women and girls. Women led households, persons with disabilities, SGBV survivors, and vulnerable women and girls are specifically targeted with activities and services aimed at strengthening their resilience, for example addressing economic vulnerability as a factor that increases exposure to SGBV, via, for example, Cash-for-Protection (CfP) and/or Cash-for-Work (CfW) activities directed to vulnerable women. At the same time, NPA Lebanon and partners ensure communities participate in sensitization activities aimed at engaging them in preventing SGBV. The project further addresses complex protection needs of civilians in conflict affected areas of southern Lebanon through integrated interventions focused on SGBV, Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA), and Housing, Land and Property (HLP) assistance. NPA and its partners ensure that all activities are carried out using conflict sensitive and Do No Harm approaches. Humanitarian support (Child Protection): Most vulnerable children are protected against violence, abuse and violations of children’s rights: This programme aims to ensure that the most vulnerable children are protected from violence, abuse and violations of their rights by strengthening the safety and resilience of the environments around them. It focuses on preventing harm by addressing underlying risks such as poverty, harmful norms, weak protection systems and limited access to services, while also providing timely, child-centred support when protection concerns arise. Working with families, communities, schools and local authorities, the programme builds the capacity of caregivers and institutions to recognize risks early and respond safely and inclusively in line with international child protection standards. It expands access to essential protection services—such as case management, psychosocial support and clear referral pathways—designed to meet the specific needs of girls and boys of different ages and abilities. The programme also empowers children with knowledge of their rights and life skills that help them stay safe and express their needs. By reinforcing community-based protection mechanisms and strengthening coordination with national systems, the programme fosters a more protective environment that upholds children’s well-being in both everyday situations and during crises. All SC programmes are gender mainstreamed, inclusive and aims to strengthen resilience. Funding flow detail → | ||||||||||
