NPA Lebanon works with local partners to support women and girls survivors and at risk of SGBV, by ensuring access to life-saving services and as well as addressing the causes of SGBV. Women and girls receive safe referrals and/or direct access to individual case management and multi-sectorial and comprehensive services, both individually and in groups. Women, girls and relevant stakeholders in the communities we serve are consulted to determine safe and culturally appropriate approaches for the activities, aiming at offering transformative interventions that will offer real protection to women and girls. Women led households, persons with disabilities, SGBV survivors, and vulnerable women and girls are specifically targeted with activities and services aimed at strengthening their resilience, for example addressing economic vulnerability as a factor that increases exposure to SGBV, via, for example, Cash-for-Protection (CfP) and/or Cash-for-Work (CfW) activities directed to vulnerable women. At the same time, NPA Lebanon and partners ensure communities participate in sensitization activities aimed at engaging them in preventing SGBV. The project further addresses complex protection needs of civilians in conflict affected areas of southern Lebanon through integrated interventions focused on SGBV, Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA), and Housing, Land and Property (HLP) assistance. NPA and its partners ensure that all activities are carried out using conflict sensitive and Do No Harm approaches.
