Community awareness activities engage women, girls, boys and men in prevention of SGBV and disseminate safe information about available services. Women and girls also receive support to address economic vulnerabilities that may increase the risk of SGBV, for example via training in energy efficient stove production and environmental conservation, reducing the SGBV risks associated with firewood collection. NPA further strengthens community protection through awareness sessions and peacebuilding dialogues that promote nonviolence, coexistence, and tackle the normalization of SGBV in the communities.
