Dutch Relief Alliance, Through Plan International Ethiopia 2024 The Dutch Relief Alliance (DRA) Protracted Crisis Ethiopia Joint Response (2024–2026), implemented by Positive Action for Development in Zequala Woreda of the Amhara Region, includes a strong focus on the Agriculture Cluster through its Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) interventions. Under the Agriculture Cluster, the project aims to enhance food security and build the resilience of vulnerable households, particularly women, youth, and people with disabilities. Key activities include the restocking of small ruminants for elderly- and child-headed households to restore productive assets and improve income sources. The project also supports the construction of veterinary clinics to strengthen animal health services and reduce livestock-related risks. In addition, improved Teff seeds and essential farming tools are distributed to boost agricultural productivity and promote climate-resilient farming practices. To further strengthen livelihoods, the project provides business skills training and start-up capital for youth, as well as apiculture support for survivors of gender-based violence, enabling diversified and sustainable income-generating activities. The Agriculture Cluster component also incorporates natural resource management through communal land restoration activities implemented via cash-for-work schemes. These efforts contribute to environmental rehabilitation while providing short-term income support to vulnerable households. Overall, the intervention is designed to ensure sustainable agricultural production, improved livelihoods, and increased resilience through the end of 2026
