The project's objective is to contribute to the promotion of peace mechanisms linked to access to water resources in the Trifinio region, both at the trinational and municipal and community levels, from a gender and human rights perspective, considering the specific needs of the beneficiary population. Conditions will be created to strengthen and consolidate preventive capacities, foster and facilitate inclusive dialogue spaces with an emphasis on the participation of women, youth, and Indigenous peoples, and promote the establishment and operation of mechanisms and processes to prevent and manage conflicts, fostering improved decision-making regarding water for women, youth, and Indigenous peoples, and reducing vulnerabilities to violence. In this way, the project will contribute to strengthening the empowerment of women and other vulnerable population groups in water resource management, fostering social cohesion, and improving relations between public institutions and civil society at every level.
